Family Author Event: Angela May presents Search for Treasure
Join author Angela May as she talks about her new middle grades novel, Search for Treasure (The Islanders Book 2). After the book talk, children are invited to participate in a journal decorating activity. Recommended for children age 8 and older. This fun event is free and open to the public.

About the book:
In this charming story that adults will love as much as middle graders, 12-year-old Jake returns to his grandmother’s home on a remote South Carolina coastal island with his father, a wounded soldier dispirited from losing a leg in Afghanistan. Determined to cheer his father and his Dewees Island summer friends, Lovie and Macon, Jake sets forth on an exciting new mission: “Operation Treasure Hunt.”
