America 250 Diverse Voices with Brandi-Ann Uyemura, author of I am a Bon Dancer
Celebrate culture, community, and heritage with a special program inspired by I Am a Bon Dancer by Brandi-Ann Uyemura. In honor of America 250, this event highlights Japanese American traditions and the diverse voices that shape our nation. Enjoy a virtual read-aloud of the story by the author, learn about the Japanese Bon dance, and the author’s writing journey. Then create your own paper lantern in a hands-on art workshop at the library. This program invites participants to explore identity, tradition, and belonging through story and art.
