Yarn Bomb Southwest Chatham Library!

What's yarn bombing? It's a form of street art or graffiti where colorful knitted or crocheted yarn is used to cover objects like chairs, desks, statues, bike racks, and more.

We’re looking for people to help us yarn bomb the Children's Department at the Southwest Chatham Library.

How you can help:

  • If you can knit, crochet, or even just sew, you can yarn bomb. We are planning on covering the columns in the Children's Department with as many colorful yarn projects as we can.  Bring in completed projects smaller than 24" and we will include them in our collaborative art installation.  The brighter the better.
  • Got any extra yarn lying around that you're not using? Donate it to us! We’ll use it!
  • Join us on Friday, June 9th.  We will be crocheting, knitting, and installing our finished creations.

Any questions?  Reach out to Youth Services Supervisor Melanie Palmeri by email at palmerim@liveoakpl.org or phone:  (912) 927-4081.
